Rotary Club of Pearl Harbor meeting 2026-06-01 100th Infantry Battalion 442 Infantry Veterans www.100thibv.org/Today’s outstanding program was on the most decorated United States Army unit in history, the 100th Infantry Battalion. Any one of the speakers would have been excellent by themselves. We had the privilege of hearing from three people who are closely associated with the unit:Kathi Hayashi, President, 100th Infantry Battalion Veterans organization, Daughter of, Tokuichi HayashiJanice Yokoyama Trubitt, niece of Private First-Class Sadao S. MunemoriFilm-maker Steve Sue100th Infantry Battalion Veterans organization, established in December 1945 under the name "Club 100," by the World War II veterans of the 100th Infantry Battalion. The purpose of Club 100 is to perpetuate the identity and legacy of the 100th Infantry Battalion.Janice Yokoyama Trubitt is a niece of Private First-Class Sadao S. Munemori the only Japanese American to be awarded the Medal of Honor during or immediately after World War II, after he sacrificed his life to save those of his fellow soldiers at Seravezza, Italy. Munemori was in Company A, 100th Infantry Battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Team.Film-maker Steve Sue did not serve in the military and had to be convinced to make a movie about the 100th Infantry Battalion.
